San Francisco International Airport | Basis of a hotel
A. D. McCormick

I designed the 300-plus-page Grand Hyatt SFO Basis of Design, a large and complex document that contained the broad requirements for the design and construction of a new luxury hotel at San Francisco International Airport: from architecture and structure through IT systems, lighting, signage, and window washing. It served as a highly practical reference document for the multi-year project, but also needed to be elegant and well crafted, a keepsake for the client and the team. It was digitally printed, with a foil-stamped, textured cover, and a sewn binding.

The Basis of Design team was led by John C. Davis and Josie Morgan of Hornberger + Worstell.
